Facilitator Training – Level I

November 7th- 8th and 14th-15th 2008
8:30am – 5:00pm each day

Level II Training will be held in May 2009

                                                                                                                           Although the curriculum may sound like you are going back to school, we have a lot of fun.  At least half of the time will be spent learning new activities and games that you can take back to use with your programs.  You will also learn everything you need to run a group through the ropes course – knots, safety, techniques, processing, and more!

Trainer Qualifications

Benjamin Allen has been training, facilitating, building and operating ropes courses for 23 years. He has built over 40 courses throughout the country including Aspen Grove, Heritage School, Provo Canyon School, New Haven, Utah State Prison, Heber Valley Camp, CA-LO, West Ridge, Valley Mental Health, Discovery Ranch, Snow College and more.

He is certified as a BSA COPE course instructor, trainer, inspector, and builder (1986, 1998 & 2004).  He is also certified and trained by Project Adventure (1991 and 2000).  These two programs have some of the finest training and strictest standards in the industry.  Benjamin is a member of the Association for Experiential Education (AEE), the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) and the Professional Ropes Course Association (PRCA).  He regularly attends conferences and workshops pertaining to ropes courses so he can stay up to date.
